Happy New Year! 2010 will be Awesome!

I'm visiting family and have a few minutes to share some time with you as the year changes over (at least here on the east coast of the USA).

I'll be honest--2009 treated me well. I became a national award winning author, got interviewed by a bunch of great folks, landed an agent, got my first contract with a major publisher, wrote three plus books...

But I'm looking forward to 2010 even more. My debut novel will be officially released throughout the US on June 22. I'll be speaking at a bunch of places and doing tons of interviews, my new website will launch, I'll be holding contests, signing books, traveling... In short, I'll be living one of my dreams--and writing.

And I hope you all continue to follow me on this journey--your support has meant so much already... And I hope that 2010 brings you amazing opportunities, too!

Much love--Happy New Year!

Oh I will SO be following your journey! I'm really excited for you :-) Are you planning on speaking any where in the Northern Virginia/DC area? (Because, I'm so there if you are!)

Happy New Year too! Absolutely can't wait to read 13 to Life (why is June so far away), and I'm definitely seconding speaking in the DC/VA area since I live in Maryland. Or, actually, MD would be even better. :D

My heart skips a beat every time I think about what will be coming up for you this next year! You rock the Casbah! Love you, love your writing, love that I get to walk into my B&N and see your book on the shelf this summer. *Le Sigh*

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!

Hi Maria! Happy New Year to you, too! XOXO

Sara, thank you for following me on this crazy roller coaster ride. I'd love to speak down in the DC area but at this moment I don't have a site there to visit (things will all start firming up more in March and April, though, so who knows?). :D

Jenn, MD's been on my radar, too--have a pal in that area that I might *might* be able to convince to also speak. Something I'll be looking into. ;-)

Robin--*hugs*--I'll just try not to faint when I start seeing it in bookstores. :D Much love!

Thank you, Anonymous. I think part of a writer's job is to work to improve. ;-) Bear in mind what I post on my blog is much less formal than most of my "real" writing, so "quality" varies from day to day and mood to mood. ;-)

Take care everyone--this year's gonna be grand!
